  • How can i reserve a boat?

    You can reserve a boat at any time of the day using our website, the reservation is completed with a payment. At the agreed time you will find an employee on the jetty who will help you on your way. Unfortunately, we do not take reservations regarding 'self-sailing' cruises by telephone or e-mail. If you want to sail with a large group and reserve several sloops or request a sloop with skipper, please fill in the contact form.

  • With how many persons can i sail in a boat

    Our boats are suitable for a maximum of 12 people. Please check the covid-19 measures for the last updates regarding the maximum group size. If you want to cruise with a bigger group please check our option for a boat with a captain, this boat can take a maximum of 36 people.

  • Why do I pay a deposite and when do I get it back?

    Of course you keep the boat clean and return it to the jetty where you picked it up on time. Also is the deposit your deductible in case of damage to the boat or a third party. After your cruise, we will refund the deposit by our payment provider Adyen. This can take anywhere from 1 to 5 days.

  • Between what times can I rent a boat?

    From the jetty on the Bergse Plas | Hillegersberg can be sailed between 09:00 and 22:00. from the jetty on the lombardkade | Rotterdam Center this is from 09:00 to 21:00. You can choose what time you leave and how long you want to reserve the boat, but a minimum purchase of 2 hours applies. You will therefore have to reserve the sloop at least 2 hours before closing time of the jetty.

  • What if it rains during my boattrip?

    Pick a new date, take up a voucher or cancel in case of bad weather

    If, according to the buienradar / buienalarm app, you'll get wet during the boattrip, you can decide to move your boattrip to a new date. This option is available from 4 hours before the start of the boattrip. If this is not the case, the cruise can be canceled completely, but we will then withhold 25% of the agreed rent as cancellation compensation.

    When is the weather bad?

    It's bad weather when it rains, (a drizzle or pouring rain), strong wind (wind force 6 - strong wind - 39-49 km/u), also when the K.N.M.I. gives code orange (except when the cause is heat)

  • Can I still cancel the boat after I have made a reservation?

    Because you purchase a service, slightly different rules apply than when buying, for example, jeans online. You can cancel the cruise free of charge up to 3 weeks before the start. Up to 7 days (168 hours) before the start, the cancellation fee is 25% of the agreed rent. From 7 days before the start the cancellation fee is 50% of the agreed rent and from 3 days (72 hours) before the start you can no longer cancel.

    If you want to reschedule the cruise or take a voucher, this is possible up to 72 hours before the start.

    But what if it rains?

    No problem, in case of bad weather (rain or code orange) you can move the cruise free of charge on the day itself, from 4 hours before the start, or take a voucher. You can cancel the cruise at 25% of the agreed rent

  • Can I also start from another location?

    In consultation you can start the cruise or end it at another location. An employee will bring and/or pick up the boat to the agreed location. In addition to extra rent for the boat, you also pay the costs of the employee who is bringing or picking up the boat. Please contact us to discuss the possibilities and a quotation.

  • Can I play music on the boat?

    Our boats do not have built-in speakers to prevent noise disturbance. You are allowed to bring small speakers that cannot produce more than background noise. Large speakers that can produce a high volume are not allowed on board. The cruise will also be terminated if (noise) disturbance is caused by your group. 

  • Where can i go with the boat?

    You are allowed to sail on the Rotte, Bergse Plas, Kralingse Plas and Noorderkanaal. if you are a very experience captain you can also go on to the Schie towards Overschie or Delfshaven. Do keep in mind that there are also big commercial ships sailing here that can not steer or brake in the 'narrow' channel. That's why only experciend skippers ar allowed to cruise here. It is not allowed to sail into Schiedam, the Schie past Overschie or the Coolhaven. Also the Nieuwe Maas, passing the Parksluis is prohibited for your own safety.

  • Can I bring my own food and drinks?

    You can bring your own food and drinks during the cruise. Make sure that you leave the boat neat and clean after the cruise, a cloth hangs on the console for this.

    Drinks (alcohol)

    The person driving the boat must remain sober, for a boat the same rules apply as in the car. If you drive the boat while under the influence of alcohol, drugs or laughing gas, our insurance does not cover the damage caused in the event of an incident. You are therefore responsible for all material damage and personal injury as a result of the accident. If we notice that the captain has had too much to drink, your boattrip will be ended immediately and you have to walk back. An employee of Geen Boot Wel Varen will then pick up the boat, the costs for this will be deducted from the deposit.

    Food

    You can bring your own food, but it is not allowed to heat the food on board of the boat

    This is allowed, but keep the boat and water tidy so leave your confetti canon at home and Do not use adhesive tape but tiny ropes to attach decoration to the boat

  • Can I bring my own drinks?

    That is not a problem, but keep the drinking to normal amounts so that the atmosphere remains cozy. If you bring too much drink, you run the risk that the cruise will be denied without the possibility of a refund of the rent. When one or more passengers are drunk, we can no longer guarantee safety and are therefore forced to end the cruise at the next public jetty, so you have to walk back.

  • Can I bring my own food?
